They actually do have a segment of the class that's going to teach AutoCAD, but I get the impression the professor wants kids to "appreciate" how computers have helped the engineering profession, and even today, engineers sometimes do have to know how to "sketch" things out quickly (on a napkin, or whatever!)

Have a good weekend. Sounds like the week was a success. Tiring, but successful.
BTW - I get up at 5:30 and have to be in bed by 10:00. 9:00 is even better. I hate it when it is still dark........ It does get a little easier after a while. Not a lot. But a little.

He starts at 7.30am, but we have to get him there earlier because of his broken leg and to avoid getting caught up with the buses arrive. When he takes the bus, he is normally out waiting at the curb at 6.45 am.
My middle schooler is out waiting for the bus at 7.25 am

Bus here is $450 per student per year. Also, on the 29th, i'll be having my first session of PT since 1997. That should be fun <_<

School bus is not really free - it is actually included in our school taxes.
Goodluck with your PT.

It worked. Butterfly needle is good.
We were going home and we saw that the Special Olympics team was having a car wash. We decided to go to support them. We talked to the sped teacher of the HS (she was advisor for Bowling Club, which I did) and she told us how she quit teaching at the HS due to my horrible case manager and how the administration there treated the sped students so she is now teaching at one of the elementary schools in the district.
According to a kid in my adaptive PE class last year, the adaptive PE teacher I had doesn't teach APE anymore, instead they have the new sped teacher teaching it (which makes me think they somehow made it into less of a pseudo-PT and more into a daycare for mentally handicapped students)

That's too bad about the teacher and the PE class.
I am glad the butterfly needle worked. Needles freak both my kids. They both had many bloodtests in their young lives.

He basically mocked the mentally handicapped ones daily. The sped teacher leaving is sorta sad, since they don't really have a good teacher there anymore. The new sped teacher was a "special education aide" in my 9th grade science class. I was the only person with an IEP in the class, and the district assigned her to help me with science. She is very quiet and it will probably be easy for the district to get her to agree with whatever she says, unlike the old sped teacher, who was outspoken for the kids.

I was thinking the same thing Mayleng...lol - Bros I am thinking you could probably teach this class!
It sure stinks about the sped teacher. I think that most administrations like to make it really hard for teacher that advocate. Ds's 3rd grade teacher advocated for him last year and this year they did not give her the sped kids (she has had them for the last 3 years), they did however give sped to a teacher who is a kiss-up...
This ds's general ed teacher is a kiss up and his RSP teacher is a pistol...I don't know how good of a teach she is - but she is loud, outspoken, and super chatty...will be an interesting year!

I think i'll start my homework after lunch. I have to first do my math work, since that is due tomorrow. Then I should work on my computer work. Java - I have to program a tip calculator. Comp Logic and Design - Program a detailed scene at least 20 seconds in a program that was provided.
Then I should work on English and read a 2 page story.
The java thing will be easy to code, but a little while to work out the bugs.
Edit: And I got two copies of Windows Vista Ultimate for free yesterday. Legal copies. I'm gonna sell them on eBay and maybe buy Rock Band or something.
I have a one hour OT evaluation today at 6.

Maybe you should keep one copy of Vista just in case you need it -- but then I'm a mom...

Today was a little stressful. Had a test in math after a one hour review. She gave me a USB flash drive with the test on it, so I could type my answers on the test. I put the flash drive in and then I saw that she had saved the test in a format that my version of Microsoft Word didn't support so that made me very anxious and nervous. I couldn't go up to the teacher and tell her that because I am very very shy. So I don't know if I finished the whole test or even if I did the questions right because I was so nervous. I sent her an email explaining why

bros, you don't strike me as shy. You can "talk" to us, you can talk to the teacher too. So if things like this happens again give it a try. You are very smart and I am sure the teacher knows that. This is college it is different from HS, they may not talk down to you like in HS.
