Several years ago, I came across a really good book by Chris Zeigler Dendy called Teaching Teens with ADD and ADHD. It gives an overview of the disorder and how it affects teens in school; offers interventions to use for various difficulties in class; covers classroom management and behaviors; executive functions, etc... There is an excellent graphic showing all the behaviors and characteristics of ADHD, called The Iceberg. I e-mailed the SpEd director at our HS this graphic and she was very appreciative. She said that she has to give in-services to teachers and this graphic would really help her explain to them how the disorder can affect students.
