My son is going to sleep over at his cousins house this Saturday. He takes vitamins, Wellbutrin in the morning and imipramine in the evening. I trust my brother to give him his meds, I just want to know what he should say to his overly curious cousins? They are 9 and 11. My son is 6 and the girl can be very judgemental.

I would just say they are vitamins that help him grow big and strong, and if they ask about the imipramine, I would just say they help him sleep better. I wouldn't mention anything about anxiety etc.

Thanks Mayleng: I worry about the funniest things. My neice will wonder why she doesn't take so many vitamins (though she probably should). Knowing my son, he'll give her the lowdown anyhow. Thanks for the suggestion. He has no qualms about his adhd.

Hopeful, If your brother knows what they are, and you want to keep the information from the two cousins, why not put the pills in two different ziploc baggies label the time they are supposed to be taken on the front with a permanent marker and just tell your brother or whom ever (the cousins) they are vitamins. That way only your brother knows, and the nosey one will still think he takes vitamins at different times of the day? ? Just a thought,
