When I go to the sub boards to read posts, and then I try and use my back arrow button to get back out to the main menu board, it won't let me back out. Sometimes I have to hit the button 10 or 12 times and it says "done" but it will not let me out. Sometimes I have to hit the "X" button and close out the internet to get out.
I'm not having the problem anywhere else.

I am not seeing these problems. I use the back buttons all the time (on my browser). What type of security are you using? When you say you use the back arrow, are you using the back arrow of your browser?
Try clicking the board name you want to go to instead of the back button. The board name is in the yellow part on top (right above the orange ).

I am finding some of the same problems. I typically use the button on the bottom that says back to the top, and then I will click on the sub board that I want to go back to. This also automatically updates then if another person has written on any of the threads.
The problem I am having, is some of the threads that I click on, I get a blank page. I have tried repeatedly to read a thread in the education board, and I can't read anything. I have tried clicking on the last reply, and I continue to get a blank page. I have tried refreshing the page and it doesn't work either.
I also get into a thread, and it only shows part of the replies, and ends the thread, when I know that the thread has more replies than that. When that happens, I can hit reply to thread, and read back through..... but that isn't always easy either.
Any ideas for me?

alyssasmom, are you clicking the name of the sub-board (in the yellow part right on top of the orange ban)?
I don't know why it is doing that. Have you deleted our temp folder recently to clear up space so that pages can load? Go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete browsing history. Maybe that will clear up some memory space for you.
This is not a problem with proboards I don't think.

"When you say you use the back arrow, are you using the back arrow of your browser?"
"Try clicking the board name you want to go to instead of the back button. The board name is in the yellow part on top (right above the orange ). "
The way Windows Vista is set up, you have to use your back browser arrows to get out of everything. For instance, to get out of Millermom Boards, I used to could hit the "X" button on right hand side of computer screen and it would take me out of only Millermom. With Vista, you have to completely use your back browser button and back all the way out of everything. If you hit your "X" button, it logs you off the internet. Very aggravating.
For some reason, I can't use my back browser button here and back out. I get stuck.
McAfee is what I use, but recently my subscription expired, so I guess I'm not using anything???

rw - Try closing the tab. You are probably using Internet Explorer 7. Hit Control and T at the same time to open up another tab.

rw, as bros mentioned. Close the tab, not the entire Explorer page (unless that is the only page you are currently on. You could always open a new tab, and then close the MM tab.
If you want to go to the different boards/sub-boards of MM, just click the names of the boards in the Yellow portion, on top (right able the Orange banner, on the top of the first post of every thread). You can click " Learning Disabilities (LDs), ADHD and Education Support, The*SAFE*Site " and this will get you to the main page, you can click "Friend & Support" and it will get you to that board in this case.
If you were in a thread within the "Education, Special Ed & Advocacy for All LDs " board, and want to go back to the sub-board where the listings of all the threads are, just click "Education, Special Ed & Advocacy for All LDs " at the top.
You should get a security software. I personally like Norton 360. (you can use up to 3 machines).
I think your problem is within your PC or Vista. I have vista too (I don't like it) but don't seem to have the same issue as you. Make sure that your Vista has all the updates and patches.

Norton is bad. I prefer a more secure anti-virus program, NOD32 or Kaspersky are the best on the market.
Vista is nice.

Can you believe I have never noticed that you could click there before?
Yea, I do need some sort of anti-virus program.
Usually when I am here this is the only tab I have open. So I would have to open up another tab just to close this tab? I like my old Windows 98 better. I could just "X" out of whatever I was in instead of using the back button to get out.

No, you don't have to oepn up another tab to close your current tab.
I believe in IE7 you can just press alt+f4 or x out to leave.

rw, you can always press Home, the one with the little House ICOn. that would just take you to your browser homepage.

FYI, I'm not having that problem anymore. I can just hit my browser back button and it takes me out (like it used to). I don't have to hit it 10 or 12 times anymore.
