Thats a little high of a dose for 48lbs. I'll be surprised if you don't see some nasty behavs soon. 25 sounds like a better dose. If you like two doses, try 18 and 10. The H is often the last thing it kicks in for, but remember, though its not a stimualnt, it can be stimulating. So too high of a dose is only going to worsen the H. You'd be surprised how much a few mgs can change things. If things don't get better in afew weeks with lowering the dose, try the stims. Strattera has a good track record for surpressing tics, better than the meds they prescribe to do this. So, if you want to give it whirl, it might be a different experience from the last time. There are also low doses of heart meds, like Tenex and Chlonidine that can reduce the H, though they do nothing for the A. They are safe to use in children as long as they have a healthy heart. My son took these to reduce tics, it was a nice meds, most side effects were positive, he was calmer, slept better. The worst side effect was occasional lightheadedness upon standing too quickly after sitting too long. He just kearned to get up slower ;D

Logan was given tenex way back when for his anxiety. It made him really mean and aggressive so we pulled him off of it. does that just mean it wasn't right for him?
