Hi Laurie, I didn't want your thread to get lost under edumoms, plus there might be more people dealing with this than they realize. I sure don;t mean to put more on your plate, but do you know about NVLD? Mayleng actually educated me about this. Non-verbal learning disorder. Besides the usual problems our kids can have "noticing" finer cues, some kids seem to have a worse case of this. Their social problems seem to a bit bigger than the average ADD child. This might be NVLD. It is a right-brain hemesphere neurological weaknesses. Here is a website describing the disability a little better than I could teacher.scholastic.com/products/instructor/Sep03-InvisibleDisability.htmHow about getting your boy into a bigger national league? Surely there is National little league somewhere by you. Sometimes private schools don't do as good a job at promoting these things. Maybe joining a team outside of his group would be better. No one would have any preconcieved notions about him. Here is there website, click on the top menu of the home page for the league finder links. At this site, they can even help you start a league in your area. Certainly sounds like your area can put a few teams together! www.littleleague.org/Good luck

Thanks. Good article. I think he has some of that going for it. We are going to do some OT so hopefully that will help. I just feel bad that he doesn't have any friends and he does seem to alienate himself from others. It's like he just doesn't get it.
