A local talk radio show was discussing what age is too old to be trick-or-treating, and whether you should give candy to teens whose costume is "lame," like just wearing a baseball cap, or who aren't wearing any costume at all. One person called in to say that she asked a kid who was wearing ordinary clothes what his outfit was supposed to look like, and he replied, "A disappointment." (Since his response was very creative, she happily gave him candy! )

Funny. This post made me think of my time at Disneyland Halloween celebrations the last 2 years where you can see that many of us never outgrow the love of trick or treating and dressing up. Adults and children alike wear costumes (this is not allowed for people over the age of 14 during regular operation hours) and get bags to trick or treat along the many candy trails. I saw a couple who must have been in their late 70's dressed up as sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming. Totally precious!
