This study used an MRI scan, to identify Amygdala response to 'happy faces' and 'fearful faces'. On a screen in front of them. But their is a more immediate test? When we see a 'smiling face', which is processed through the Amygdala. This initiates a 'Mirror Neuron Process' in the brain. Which causes a smile in response. That is a reflexive response.
So rather sending a client off for an MRI? The therapist could instead, observe clients facial responses.
