Don't worry. As long as you register, we'll send you the replay link to watch at your convenience. Behavior therapy helps children with ADHD. That is an established fact. But should it be tried before medication? At the same time? How can it be implemented consistently at home and at school? How do you know it’s working? In this webinar, we will address these questions and many more in an effort to demystify behavior therapy. In ADDitude's upcoming webinar, William Pelham, Ph.D., director of the Center for Children and Families at Florida International University and distinguished professor of psychology who studies ADHD in children and adolescents, will address these questions and many more to demystify behavior therapy. The expert Q&A webinar "More Than Meds: A Parent's Guide to Using Behavioral Therapy" will take place Thursday, May 19, from 1pm-2pm ET (12pm-1pm CT; 11am-12pm MT; 10am-11am PT). The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends behavior therapy as the “first line of treatment” for children diagnosed with ADHD before the age of 6. Through high school, the AAP guidelines call for medication used in conjunction with behavior therapy, which the CDC calls an “effective treatment for ADHD that can improve a child’s behavior, self-control, and self-esteem.”
