Bros, I hope you don't mind that I modified the title of your post, because I think the vicodin may have affected your concentration and spelling; it took me a minute to figure out what you meant! Sounds like your dinner may consist of soup, applesauce, milkshakes, etc. for a few days, but hopefully you won't have any complications, and you'll be "feeling good as new" soon. Take care!

If you're able to eat any food, that's great ~ the day I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I had a bad reaction to either the anesthesia or vicodin afterwards, and ended up not being able to keep anything down. I'm wondering how many days of student teaching you're likely to miss because of the surgery? Other than that. how is this semester going? (Or have they had so many cold & snow days, that you haven't even been in school much?)

Glad you are OK bros. Both my kids had 4 of their wisdom teeth taken out at the same time too. You are done with college? Did you get your teaching degree?

bros, congrats. The pain will get better, take whatever painkillers the doctors gave you. Are you going to continue your education?

I am taking the vicodin every four hours almost on the dot. It is very helpful with the throbbing pain.
In NJ, a masters is not required to teach, like it is required in NYC to teach.
Although I owuld like to continue my education sometime. I would probably pursue a LDT-C, which is a case manager around here.

I think you'd make a very good case manager. Even with the LDT-C, is that a position you could be hired directly into, or do they expect applicants to have have prior work experience within a classroom setting, or ? I realize your first goal is to recover from your oral surgery, but will you start looking/interviewing for a classroom teaching position later this spring, hopefully to begin work in fall? (Around my area, existing teachers are usually given contracts by March, and then schools start to hire for remaining openings.) I wonder if you might even begin your career by looking at a preschool or private school setting?

In order to get a LDT-C cert, you need to have 3 years teaching experience.
I will be looking at like 7-8 school districts to teach in, as they are near me.

If the pain does not get better soon, PLEASE go back to the oral surgeon.
When my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed, she did everything they told her to do--and still got dry sockets. The pain was extreme. But she kept trying to tough it out, assuming she just had to give it more time.
Better to get re-checked than to hope the throbbing pain will eventually go away. If you have dry sockets, the pain will NOT go away on its own.

Bros,
Wednesday nest week seems a long time to wait to get a throbbing pain looked at. You may want to go back to the oral surgeon sooner. Or, is the snow and cold making that hard for you.
And, congratulations on finishing your coursework and practice teaching for your degree and certificate.

Still in quite a bit of pain. The vicodin helps get rid of most, if not all, the pain.

Bros, you could try rinsing your mouth with mouthwash or saltwater? Pain can be caused by nerve endings being exposed to oral bacteria. It's a simple thing to try, and if it's a factor, you'll notice a difference within a minute.

It's a simple thing to try, and if it's a factor, you'll notice a difference within a minute. Been doing that. Irrigation hurts. Went back to oral surgeon, saw a different doctor than the one who operated on me. He was surprised at how few pills I was prescribed for pain, so he gave me more Vicodin and prescribed a pretty strong antibiotic

I hope it is not Fluoroquinolone anti-B ie. Cipro, Levaquin or Avelox. Please do not take those - there are very many serious permanent side effects associated with it. I have been impacted by it for the last 4 yrs now.
