It was one if those less than enjoyable mornings with my boy. He doubled up on his ADHD MEDS. He took both his morning 40mg of Vyvanse and his bedtime 0.5mg of Risperidone then proceeded to tell me what he had done... he knows better but it was my fault for having both pills in his morning medicine cup.
Should I be concerned or watchful over anything as I am about to send him off to school? He is 11yrs old and weighs about 50lbs.

If I understand correctly, he took his Vyvanse at the regular time, but he's taken the Risperidone earlier than usual, such that if he took Risperidone last night, as well, he could have a double dose of that medication in his system. If you can't reach your own doctor, you could contact the Canadian Poison Control Center to ask them: www.capcc.ca/I'm not a doctor, but from what I've read, it doesn't sound like there is cause for alarm. If I were you, I'd just call or send a note to your son's teacher, asking her to contact you if she notices anything out of the ordinary today, and telling your son to let the teacher know if he doesn't feel like he usually does. A "google search" of resperidone vyvanse yielded several websites where people discuss taking both meds www.ehealthme.com/drug_interactions_side_effects/Vyvanse-2908014 www.mayoclinic.com/health/drug-information/DR601563/DSECTION=proper-use

Thanks. That is reassuring to hear as I too suspected everything should be fine.
