Shawbridge, I'm so glad that you brought this up.......I've previously done a "google search" on my screen name, and perhaps because I've got thousands of postings, my personal information never came up on the first screen of search results, so I never thought much more of it.... I don't like it, either. (I wonder if the registration info is something that "Proboards" (which hosts Millermom) has recently decided to reveal, or if it's always been available?) I would like my data hidden, too!! Hopefully, Mayleng will know how we can do that.

Under your profile Account settings, make sure you say yes to hide your email. Remember to click modify (bottom of the page) once you are done.
I see you have done that already. However, if you are logged in even if you do a search, you will be able to see your own email, others will not, unless you are a staff member.
Sign in as guest, and click your name or the link you provided, you will see it says your email is hidden.
Healthy, because you are a staff member, you are able to see everybody's email whether they hide it or not.

Mayleng, I don't think it has anything to do with being signed in to Millermom...I'm going to send you an email...

Healthy try signing out of MM before you do any searches even if you go to google search, you still need to sign out of MM. As long as you are signed in "forever" you will be able to access all the info available to you at MM (even you did not do the search on MM site itself). As I mentioned it is because you are a moderator which enables you to see all the information. Normal members cannot see each other's email addy and other info if the members opted to hide them in their profile.

By the way, anybody can read the posts on boards (except the moderators board) that are opened to the public, but they cannot post unless they become members. We won't close those public boards because our mission is to help others whether they become members or not, to pass on the information and knowledge we have. To close those boards to the public would defeat that purpose.

That was the solution, Mayleng! After I signed out of being "forever" logged in to Millermom, and did the "google search" then the results I saw were "hidden" as far as email, birthdates, etc.

That would be what others (aside from Moderators who are logged in forever) see as well. So your emails address etc. are private.
