Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Katherine Ellison (The Mommy Brain) devoted a year to tuning in to her 12-year-old son's attention deficit disorder. And her own symptoms of ADD. www.greatschools.org/special-education/LD-ADHD/excerpt-from-buzz-by-katherine-ellison.gs?content=3043&cpn=20101005weeklysendI haven't read the book yet /I am going to/ but the title already made me wonder: was she paing attenton only for one year?!?- or- is it just about the first year she started to pay attention...

I saw this too! In the article she talks about her journey over a number of years helping her son with ADHD and school. I think the The "year" refers to a turning point - not the only year that it was on her radar screen!
