I am frustrated becuase our naturopath told me to give my daughter 25mg of vitamin b liquid but the Buried treasure bottle dose not tell me any information in Mg. (Buried treasure was the only b complete I could find at whole foods and the childrens area did not have magnesium and b comlex seperate from a mix of multi vitamins). It says for adults 2TBSP is(30ml) Is this brand okay to give her? She is 4 years old and weighs 44 lbs. She is 44 inches tall. i also would like to know what dosage is good for her for the magnesium. It is Floradix magnesium liquid mineral supplement. The doctor said 50mg in morning and at night. her mag was 12 and ref range is 15-45. If anyone could please help, i would greatly appreciate it. SHE IS ADHD

We have a pretty information thread about magnesium here millermom.proboards107.com/index.cgi?board=Alternative&action=display&thread=4034If there's no deficiency, then multiply body weight times 3 for the maintenance dose. The weight of elemental magnesium is the number you want to be looking at, not the weight of the magnesium salt. For example, I have some magnesium chloride tablets made by Alta that are 500mg tabs. That's the weight of the entire compound. Each provides 62mg elemental magnesium. The remaining weight is the salt the magnesium is bonded to. Products ought to be labeled with the elemental weight of the mineral. It might say, for example, that it contains 50mg magnesium "from magnesium glycinate". That's giving you the elemental weight.

As for Vitamin Bs, be careful, my son did not react well on Vitamin Bs, he made him very angry and grouchy.
