I just have dreaded school for Hardhead all summer. Well his teacher came up the hill(a very long way from her classroom) to bring me his paperwork . So today I got the email "I want to meet with you". Only she wants to meet next week, so I am trying to think positive, but I highly doubt it. I went up before school to get to know her and go over some things. She was not there when the principal said she would be, so I did not actually talk to her except the greetings. Okay enough emotion, he is fine and if not they have to educate him anyway!

oh brazos! I know that feeling too well. What do you know about this teacher? Is she experienced and mature? I learned a tough lesson last year with a new and inexperienced teacher. Being the naive and trusting person that I am, I decided to tell her everything about my son at the beginning of the year thinking she would use that information to help him. Instead she used it against him and me. Don't forget to document! And hey, maybe it is good news???

Good luck. I'm sure the dreaded email will be coming our way soon. It's hard to sound positive about school when you have to deal with this onslaught two nanoseconds after school kicks in. I had a stupid deal at school today. The lock on my son's locker is not working properly so he is having to carry all his books for the day around with him. I went in and asked if the maintenance man could take a look at it. First she tells me he's not supposed to take everything around with him. Then its, 'Oh, he's probably going to the wrong locker', 'Oh, he's probably just not doing the numbers in the right order'. I said, 'No, something is wrong could someone please look at it'. Aaaugh - I have to battle to get someone to look at a locker? Give me a break.

According to the principal(like I believe him) she was the dyslexic coordinator for a large ISD. But she may not even know anything about ADHD or OCD. She is older than me, she said at open house she loves kids.
I just have that sinking feeling in my stomach it can not be good!
