The child psych doesn't sound like he is very good. Of course you can test for dysgraphia at age 9. I think you better start looking for another one and make sure you get a good child psych. Unfortunately, you are going to be the "coordinator, advocate and mom" for your child. You are going to be the one who gets all the info together and you are going to be the one to push for services etc.

I think I'm agreeing with you on all of that. We are about to move so we will see this dr. once more to get meds and then we are done. I'm hoping to have better options in the Oklahoma City area. If anyone is from that area and knows any good drs.....please clue me in. I realize that I have to be the advocate for my kids but it can be so tiring sometimes especially when I'm not always 100% sure about what I'm doing. Need a crystal ball in good working order. Oh....and tons more patience..... Have a good weekend. KAthy

Kathy, it is very tiring and emotionally draining. So, sometimes you just need to take a time out and take care of yourself - mentally and emotionally, and refresh yourself.
