frontclap* I finally had a meeting and they finally gave my 11 yr ds an IEP under other health impaired. I have tried to get one or a 504 since 3rd grade and was always turned down. He stared middle school last year and had a very hard time adjusting so I fought like crazy and he ended up failing math/science and they finally believed me that he needs support. He will get resourse room and longer time on tests..I feel like I won a battle! I just had to share because I found most of the great information that I used from this site and all the great advice on it...Thankyou all very much!!!

Congratulations to you! Check out Wrightslaw www.wrightslaw.com and their other site www.feta.com and look for advice and information concerning the implementation of the IEP that you now have. Don't want to burst your bubble but just because your son has an IEP doesn't mean that all of his teachers will KNOW that he does. Now comes the next part of the journey - how to inform the teachers of his IEP and managing that he has one. Think of yourself as the ultimate "Project Manager" Good luck, Suzanne_86
