Well, my son had his truancy hearing yesterday. He didn't pass the program - although his attendance is a lot better it's still not perfect. They decided to put him through the program again. He was so nervous - there was the chance they would remove him from the home! Anyway, let's hope he wakes up this time around because they won't be so nice if he fails it again. I'm trying to get that fact through his head it's hard to say if it's going in - Aaaaugh! Can you believe while we were at the court house two other kids from his school were also there - one also for a truancy hearing and another for something more serious! What is it with these teenagers? None of them seemed that mortified that they were there Is it that I'm just getting old?

Good luck to guys, Gillian. It's been a long road for you. I have a teenager, also. I don't get them either. Although Matt is a problem at home, he is not one elsewhere, however I have a nephew, also a freshman, who spends at least one or two days a week with the disipline assistant principal. He doesn't think it's a big deal. Overall, I have noticed that there is less respect for authority. I sure hope things work for your son.
