The first couple weeks of Matt's plan seemed to be going well. Today I was so disappointed to find out he is behind in 2 classes. Some of these are pretty late assignments. I just don't get why they don't let you know right away. As soon as they mark down that 0, they could easily just email me. I work in a school- actually 2 different buildings and know that there is no way that there isn't enough time to contact me. It is just so frustrating!!!

You are right, there is no excuses. The teachers in my son's school, give progress reports all the time to make sure that you know which way the grades are headed and give the child time to turn it around.

I truly believe that some teachers(not all)avoid addressing ANYTHING negative with parents for fear of a big blowup. My daughter's teacher is like that. My sister, a teacher in Atlanta, says that teachers will avoid bringing things up if they suspect an attack from a parent. Sad but true. It makes appreciate the teachers who have the guts to share the good, the bad and the ugly. Those are the REAL teachers as far as I'm concerned.
