Does anyone have any experience with virtual school? I was reading an article about it in the newspaper. One mother said it was helpful for her ADHD son because he could take breaks, move around when he needed and do other activies when he felt like it. She also said that there were prompts about turning things in-my sons biggest problem. As he begins high school I really worry about him and wonder if this could be used to help him stay caught up. Anyone have any insight?

Hello, We live in a small school district in Kansas. The virtual school associated with the district has been very successful. This district had one of the first in the surrounding states. They have been asked to work with the Kansas State Board of Education in coming up with guidelines governing the virtual schools in our state. The Director's name is Brenda DeGroot and the Asst. Director is Nicole Williams. Feel free to contact one of them either by phone or email. If there is ANY information they can give you, they will bend over backwards to help. I know both of them personally and they have answered a lot of questions for me...and my ADHD child issues. Here is their website. vcs.usd458.k12.ks.us/I hope this helps.
