Finally they are done with the intervention for my son. They are having a child study meeting next Wed. to determine what kind of test need to be done. His teacher sent me an e-mail asking for a short statement of what my concerns are for him. I'm worried that I will leave something out. I'm so hoping that this will be a step forward for him. If anyone has any suggestion of what I should say please let me know. I never had to do this before with any of my kids. One more thing his teacher said that I don't need to be there for the child study to determine what kind of tests should I go anyway? Thanks

Virkus, if you go to www.concordspedpac.org the site gives you explanations on the types of evaluations the schools can do. They also give you sample letters to request for the evaluations. I think you should try and attend all their meetings to make sure you are in the loop and they know that YOU are an involved parent. Also, when you get the results of the tests that have been done. Go to Schwablearning.org and post the results there. The moms there are great at figuring out what the problems are and they are also very informative about dealing with schools, IEPs, parent rights etc. They even have a School Psychologists who pops in every once in a while to give input. Mayleng is there alot of the time. If you need any help, let me know.
