Thanks so much to bros and healthy for helping out in my other thread.
I have made an IEE request for OT for my son, and am hearing that the evaluation performed by the district was appropriate.
The school performed the Beery VMI (with perception and motor supplemental) and the BOT 2. Writing samples were observed, but little was said about them in the report. Things like observations of his pencil grip, posture, and cutting skills were included. He also had the writing test done via the WIAT.
These don't address legibility, fluency, or how well he can copy or write from dictation. The perceptual testing didn't identify what areas he was weak in, and weren't further evaluated.
In your experience, what is considered to be an "appropriate" OT writing evaluation for a 5th grader by the district?
Thanks so much!

TOWL - Test of Written Language is one I have heard of.
When I needed an OT test when I was younger, my parents brought me to a children's hospital and an OT there did an evaluation - my scores had no age equivalent able to be calculated, though - on one of the tests, I got a standard score of 7
