Its happy time! My dd passed both parts (math and English) on here first try!! She is a sophomore. One less thing to stress over!! Since my 2 ds were in NPS or private schools, this was never an issue. In fact, I used it as a bargaining chip, against the district to force them to places them in NPSs so they would not have to take it and still get a regular diploma.

Fantastic! I can't keep all the details straight...does your dd have any LD issues like your sons? Although she's still young, has she indicated what kind of career path she's interested in?

DD has/had executive function, comprehension, processing and expository writing issues. She was having major issues in middle school so I pulled her out in 8th grade to spend one year in the Arrowsmith program. Best decision ever. I not only got compensated by the district (without a lawyer), she has been able to return to a public school and succeed on the RSP support. I just have to follow up with the RSP to make sure her accommodations are followed. She can do projects and write reports with very little, if any, support. It used to be a nightmare. The good news is she continues to develop her new found skills from Arrowsmith and is becoming more and more independent.
She hope to become a speech and language therapist. In fact, in freshmen year, when she was evaluated by the SLP, the SLP raved about her empathy and insight into learning differences and hoped she would become an SLP.
