Stimming is any repetitive action carried out with the intention of expressing or redirecting emotion and/or sensory input. What initially were sold as sensory devices to help kids with ADHD and/or autism, specifically fidget spinners, have become a new "toy craze" among neurotypical kids, causing distractions in classrooms, and leading some schools to ban them.
