One more study on the benefits of Vitamin D: "...vitamin D: The sunshine vitamin may increase muscle strength and reduce the loss of muscle mass as late as 12 years after menopause, per info from the North American Menopause Society—and more muscle mass helps you burn more calories at rest. Vitamin D can be hard to get from food alone, so ask your doctor about taking a daily supplement of 1,000 IU."

medicalxpress.com/news/2016-07-menopause-symptoms-relationship-demographic-psychosocial.htmlThe above is a really interesting analysis about hot flashes and night sweats (VMS, or vasomotor symptoms). It was published in Menopause, the journal of The North American Menopause Society (NAMS). "A study by Ping G. Tepper, PhD, and colleagues shows that the progression of vasomotor symptoms (VMS) across the menopause transition appears to be significantly and independently associated with a number of sociodemographic, reproductive hormone, and psychosocial factors."
