So sad. I can't help but wonder if the child may have had problems anyway. She drank with the first baby and did not have the same issues.

It is sad that people still consume alcohol without thinking about the consequences.

The CDC (Center for Disease Control) just issued statements that women of child-bearing age should not drink alcohol unless using birth control, in order to prevent FASD. Unfortunately, most of the comments appearing on websites in response to the new recommendation are treating the CDC's advice like it's a joke. They obviously don't know how devastating FASD can be.
