Great article - my best friend has a child that is ADHD/ODD. It has been hell. She an her husband had a very structured, consistent parenting style that included reasonable boundaries, expectations and consequences when needed. This totally backfired- and she has been working with a colleague of Ross Greene to help. The son has a long way to go - but finally after about 4 years of work - there is a measurable and positive shift in his behavior and their relationship. It is still questionable if he will graduate - but things are looking more hopeful. Dyslexia is nothing in comparison.....

That is such a hard problem to deal with. Kids just get bigger and stronger and if you don't get the behavior under control, the consequences are unthinkable.
